Our Mission
Building and equipping the church to lead the community of Palo Alto into a transforming relationship with Jesus Christ.
What We Believe
We believe that there is one and but one living, true, self-existent and everlasting God, subsisting in three persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit; that this triune God created all, upholds all, and governs all.
We believe that the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the inspired Word of God, the only infallible rule of faith and practice.
We believe Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God; who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of Virgin Mary; He became man and was crucified in order to accomplish God’s salvation plan for humankind. He was dead, buried, and rose again from the dead on the third day. He ascended into heaven and will come again in the future.
We believe the Holy Spirit leads people to repent and turn from all sins. He brings people into saved relations with God. He is the Comforter and Guide of all who receive Jesus Christ as their Savior. He gives them gifts and strength to live with holiness and serve with power.
We believe that people was made in the image and likeness of God. Yet Adam sinned against God, so death came to all people. The consequence of sin is death and separation from God’s presence. Salvation can be obtained only through the illumination of the Holy Spirit to repent and reconcile with God. Whoever receives Jesus Christ as Savior shall not perish but have eternal life.
We believe the church is the household of the living God, the body of Christ. Christ is the head of the church, and believers are members of His body, which is the church. Believers are to fellowship with each other and love one another.
We believe in “Apostles’ Creed” as embodying fundamental facts of Christian faith.
Apostles’ Creed
I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary.
He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; he descended to hell. The third day he rose again from the dead.
He ascended to heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty. From there he will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting.
